Maker Studio

Located in Selden Market next to the Slover Library, the Maker Studio has a wide range of maker technology. Patrons can discover new ways to create using 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing, and more. We offer free access on our 4 high-end modeling workstations to SolidWorks and CorelDraw, as well as self-service use of Maker Studio equipment after completing the required orientation.

Reservations are not guaranteed and requires completion of Orientation to specified Studio and or equipmentand a valid library card in good standing to be granted access.

Default reservation starts with 30 minutes, which includes set-up and breakdown. You may select a time-extension in Add-ons.

Resources

3D PRINTING – Create high-quality 3D prints in a wide range of material, including PLA plastic, wood, and resin.

LASER CUTTING – Laser Cutter and Engraver for creating beautiful, complex designs with a variety of media.

SINGER SEWING MACHINES – Design and create clothes, costumes, and other textile projects.

SOLDERING IRONS AND EQUIPMENT – Design and build electronic circuits.

CAD PRINTING AND PLOTTING – High-quality, wide-format printing for architectural drawings and sewing patterns.

Patrons may use Maker Studio equipment by reservation after the required orientation, and 3D print orders may be submitted to staff to print at their discretion.
