It’s Showtime! At Slover

We want to see your talent! Slover Library is kicking off its Summer Reading Program with an afternoon highlighting our talented patrons. This talent show is open to all ages and groups, so if you sing, dance, do stand-up comedy, perform magic, or more—we want to see it!

Rules

  1. “It’s Showtime! At Slover” will take place on Saturday, June 29, from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  2. Applications will be reviewed by Slover Library staff. Submission of application does not guarantee a spot in “It’s Showtime! At Slover.” Applications will be accepted through 11:59 PM on June 15.

  3. A mandatory rehearsal will be held on Saturday, June 22. All performers must attend rehearsal—if a performer misses rehearsal, they may not perform in the show.

  4. Performances must be family-friendly in both content and dress and in accordance with Slover Library’s Code of Conduct.

  5. Each performance will be allotted five minutes, and must be able to quickly set-up and breakdown. Slover Library requires all applicants to submit a video link of what will be performed for the show.

  6. There are five age categories:

    4 - 8
    9 - 12
    13 - 19
    20 - 25
    25+

    If applying as a group, apply for the age category of the oldest group member.

  7. Slover Library will provide a performance area, microphone and sound system, table, and chair. Performers may bring additional equipment, subject to review by Slover Library staff. Additional equipment must not include weapons, fire, explosives, fog or smoke machines, glitter, animals, or require extensive set-up and clean-up.

  8. A winner will be chosen for each category by a panel of judges, and prizes will be awarded.
